Bio<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Marika Cecilia Riedl received her first harp lessons at the age of 6 with Ms. Tabitha Nicolas. \nFrom 2010 she studied as a junior student at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und Theater in \nMunich with Ms. Cristina Bianchi and in 2014 she transferred to the Zurich University of the \nArts to Ms. Sarah O’Brien. There she completed the Master of Pedagogy and the Master of \nSpecialized Soloist. An exchange semester led her to Lausanne to Ms. Letizia Belmondo. \nMarika Cecilia Riedl received further guidance in masterclasses with Luisa Prandina, Prof. \nIsabelle Moretti, Marie-Pierre Langlamet, Emmanuel Ceysson and Nicolas Tulliez.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

She has been awarded numerous national and international prizes. In 2018 and 2020, shewon study grants from the Migros-Kulturprozent and acceptance into their concert agency.In July 2019, she became a prize winner at the world’s most prestigious harp competitionUSA International Harp Competition in Bloomington (Indiana) and in 2017 she won theConcours International F\u00e9lix Godefroid in Tournai (Belgium). Her awards include also specialprizes at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich (2016) and at the Suoni d’ArpaCompetition (Italy, 2017), as well as Second Prize at the Franz Josef Reinl InternationalCompetition as the youngest participant in 2013.<\/p>\n\n

In addition, she convinced several foundations with her playing. These include the LyceumClub Zurich, the Marianne and Curt Dienemann Foundation Lucerne, the Lyra Foundation,the Zangger-Weber Foundation and the Richard Wagner Association Munich. The KiwanisClub Zurich-Enge took on a sponsorship of several years and she was presented with theCultural Sponsorship Award of the Sudeten Deutschen Landsmannschaft.<\/p>\n\n

As a soloist with and without an orchestra, Marika Cecilia Riedl maintains an active concertschedule. She has played solo concerts with the Georgischen Kammerorchester Ingolstadt,the Bad Reichenhaller Philharmoniker, the Z\u00fcrcher Symphonikern, the MedizinerorchesterBern and the Musik-Collegium Schaffhausen.<\/p>\n\n

Marika Cecilia Riedl is also a sought-after orchestral harpist. She plays as a substitute in theTonhalle-Orchester Z\u00fcrich, the Philharmonia Z\u00fcrich (Opernhaus Z\u00fcrich), theSinfonieorchester St. Gallen and the Sinfonieorchester Basel. In 2020\/2021 she held aninternship with the Berner Symphonieorchester and won the audition for the Gustav MahlerYouth Orchestra.<\/p>\n\n
