Jean-Baptiste Haye graduated with a Master\u2019s degree in Harp from the Haute \u00e9cole des arts du Rhin in Strasbourg and a Master\u2019s degree in Chamber Music from the Conservatoire National Sup\u00e9rieur de Musique de Paris. In 2016, he won Second Prize at the World Harp Competition in Utrecht (Netherlands).<\/p>\n\n
In 2015, he founded the Le Bateau Ivre Quintet (flute, violin, viola, cello, and harp). Unique in Europe, the ensemble has received several international awards, including the L\u00e9opold Bellan Competition (Paris, 2016), the Osaka International Music Competition (Japan, 2017), and the
In 2019, Le Bateau Ivre joined the European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA). Supported by the Meyer Foundation, the quintet released its debut album Marionnettes in October 2022 under the CNSMDP\u2019s Initiale label. In May 2023, the ensemble was awarded the Silver Medal at the Osaka International Chamber Music Competition. With this distinction, Jean-Baptiste Haye became the first harpist ever to receive such a major award in the field of chamber music.<\/p>\n\n
His career has led him to perform in renowned concert halls such as the Philharmonie de Paris, Op\u00e9ra Bastille, Auditorium de Radio France, Konzerthaus Berlin, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Konzertgebouw Nijmegen, Gasteig Munich, Kukje Art Hall Seoul, and Izumi Hall Osaka \u2014 both
Jean-Baptiste Haye is the regular principal harpist of the Op\u00e9ra National de Lorraine, harp professor at the CRR du Grand Nancy, and teaches harp and chamber music at P\u00f4le Sup\u201993.<\/p>\n\n
