Jean-Baptiste Haye behaalde een masterdiploma harp aan de Haute \u00e9cole des arts du Rhin in Straatsburg en een masterdiploma kamermuziek aan het Conservatoire National Sup\u00e9rieur de Musique in Parijs. In 2016 won hij de tweede prijs op de World Harp Competition (Utrecht, Nederland).<\/p>\n\n
In 2015 richtte hij het kwintet Le Bateau Ivre op (fluit, viool, altviool, cello en harp). Deze groep, uniek in Europa, heeft zich snel onderscheiden door verschillende internationale wedstrijden te winnen, zoals L\u00e9opold Bellan (Parijs, 2016), de Osaka International Music Competition (Japan, 2017) en het Virtuoso&Belcanto Festival (Lucca, Itali\u00eb, 2018).<\/p>\n\n
In 2019 sluit Le Bateau Ivre zich aan bij het Europese kamermuziekprogramma ECMA. Als laureaat van de Meyer-stichting brengt het kwintet in oktober 2022 zijn eerste album Marionnettes uit onder het label Initiale van het CNSMDP. Het kwintet Le Bateau Ivre ontvangt de zilveren medaille van het internationale kamermuziekconcours van Osaka in mei 2023, waarmee Jean-Baptiste Haye de eerste harpist is die een onderscheiding van dit kaliber op het gebied van kamermuziek in de wacht sleept.<\/p>\n\n
Zijn carri\u00e8re als musicus brengt hem naar concertzalen zoals de Philharmonie de Paris, de Op\u00e9ra Bastille, het Auditorium van Radio France, het Konzerthaus in Berlijn, de Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, het Concertgebouw in Nijmegen, het Gasteig in M\u00fcnchen, de Kukje Art Hall in Seoul en de Izumi Hall in Osaka, zowel als orkestmusicus als kamermusicus.<\/p>\n\n
Jean-Baptiste Haye is de vaste soloharpist van de Opera National de Lorraine, docent harp aan het CRR du Grand Nancy en geeft les in harp en kamermuziek aan het P\u00f4le Sup\u201993.<\/p>\n\n
