Member of the Jury and composer of the compulsory piece in the Espoir category

Fanny Bodson is a Belgian harpist, composer and pedagogue. She discovered composition at the age of 13, writing her first works for solo harp.

Three years later, she was admitted to the orchestra of “Petites Mains Symphoniques”, directed by Éric du Faÿ in France. This experience allowed her to write for harp and chamber music ensemble, and to perform her own compositions in concert.

She continues her harp studies at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, in the class of Jana Bousková, before completing a Master’s degree at “Institut royal supérieur de musique et de pédagogie” in Namur (Belgium), in the class of Sophie Hallynck and Aurore Grailet.

Fanny currently teaches the harp at the Conservatoire de Musique de Huy, the Conservatoire Lucien Robert de Tamines as well as the Académie de Grez-Doiceau.

Alongside teaching, she cultivates her passion for the stage through various musical projects. With the duo Sauly, she participated in the contest ‘Génération Classique’ in 2022, where they won the Prix Espoir, and then obtained the 3rd prize at the international harp competition ‘Suoni d’Arpa’ in Italy in 2023.
